Hello everybody,
First of all, please excuse me that I will answer to everybody here in english. My german is quite poor while I do understand it somewhat so I can respond to Your questions in german.
On Kleinhersteller fair in Wien on october 2014 I've came with my friend Miloš and Matej ( duro) and we presented two locos from brass, one is KkStB 80 aka ÖBB 57, the second is BBÖ 81 aka ÖBB 58 or JŽ 29. I've already opened the theme regarding the BBÖ 81 so here we shall discuss only about the ÖBB 57.
As the other kit, this one consists of some etched plates from neusilber of different thickness', 0,2-0,6mm, then there are some other machined parts: boiler, cylinder block, chimney and the dom. This costs 200 EUR and at the moment I am in preparation of the plates for another batch of etching which should go into the production in the first days of November. Anybody who wants to have this kit, send me a message, the last date is October 31st 2014.
The kit was designed on a basis of things from Klein modellbahn. You will need:
- the tender (series 156 for KkStB 170/270 or ÖBB 156),
- set of driving wheels (4 drivers, one with gear if You want, from same loco)
- also You need the "kreuzkopf" from Kleinmodellbahn
The driving wheels need to have KMB bearings as well!
These parts are a must, the rest can be bought from other manufacturers like Weinert, You will need also some other small parts like brass rods, tubes etc.
I do not know how many of these locos do You have, I know only for JŽ 28-053 which is on open air exposition in Knittelfeld as BBÖ 80.179. In Slovenia there are two, one in Divača (JŽ 28-006) and in Ljubljana (JŽ 28-029), in Slovenian railway museum. This one is in quite poor condition but still one can see many interesting things. Also, in Triest, railway museum, there is also loco FS Gr. 476-073, ex JŽ 28-023 which is also in quite good condition. I know there are at least one example in Czech republic and Poland. At least You have some more options to take photos and see the details. On the other hand, I can help You with the photos of JŽ 28-029 and JŽ 28-006 if You need some details.
At start, here are photos of the kit from the first batch with photos of JŽ 28 model during assembly and the finished one (made by Miloš Jocif). This loco was more or less glued together.
MfG,
Goran
P.S: Admin, if the theme position is wrong, please move it at the right place!
