Hello everybody,
First of all, please excuse me that I will answer to everybody here in english. My german is quite poor while I do understand it somewhat so I can respond to Your questions in german.
On Kleinhersteller fair in Wien on octber 2014 I've came with my friend Miloš and Matej ( duro) and we presented two locos from brass, one is KkStB 80 aka ÖBB 57, the second is KkStB 81 aka ÖBB 58 or JŽ 29. We'll discuss about the other in another theme, here only about this loco.
There were some wishes regarding the kit for this loco so at start let me present You the "kit". It consists of some etched plates from neusilber of different thickness', 0,2-0,6mm, then there are some other machined parts: boiler, cylinder block, chimney and the dom. This costs 200 EUR and at themoment I am in preparation of the plates for another batch of etching - few flaws needs to be corrected and some special JŽ things can be left out that You do not need.
The kit was designed on a basis of things from Klein modellbahn. You will need:
- the tender (series 156 for KkStB 170/270 or ÖBB 156),
- set of driving wheels (4 drivers, one with gear if You want, from same loco)
- the loco has also a pony truck with a 10 spoke wheels; the diameter is 11,9mm, the suitable one from KMB is Süd 629/ÖBB 77
- also You need the "kreuzkopf" from Kleinmodellbahn
The driving wheels need to have KMB bearings as well!
These parts are a must, the rest can be bought from other manufacturers like Weinert, You will need also some other small parts like brass rods, tubes etc.
I've heard that no such loco exist in Austria, I guess the closest to You is JŽ 29-010 in railway museum in Ljubljana. It is similar to ÖBB 58.750 shown in another theme here and I can help You also with photos from the JŽ loco. They can help You especially with the assembly of rods and the cabin but it has some minor changes that were introduced during the exploatation period in JŽ. If You wish, I'll publish these photos.
At start, here are photos of the kit from the first batch, finished JŽ 29 model and few photos of ÖBB 58 locos.
MfG,
Goran
P.S: Admin, if the theme position is wrong, please move it at the right place!
